According to the Alpes-Maritimes prefecture, urban violence on the occasion of New Year’s Eve “were of lesser intensity” end of 2023 than in recent years.

18 vehicles were set on fire and 13 arrests took place in Nice.
“No significant incident to report in the gendarmerie zone”, indicates the prefecture. There were no injuries among the internal security forces.
