We had already informed you about the data protection incident at Urban Sports Club. The gap has been closed since March 27, 2024. Since then, the company has successively provided information about new findings. Based on the current state of information, it cannot be ruled out that personal data such as names and email addresses as well as member check-ins were accessed. However, an initial result is that no members’ Paypal, debit card or credit card information is affected.
What can now be ruled out is customer data from September 2020. According to the company’s latest information, only data before September 16, 2020 was part of the incident. Affected customers will be informed in a separate email. There may also be details about the data that has been leaked. Please let me know if you have received such an email, I am (fortunately) not affected. Two companies specializing in IT forensics and IT security were commissioned to process the data.
