Nano Arribas Lázaro, after having been working during the month of July in the mural of the confinement on one of the facades that make the corner between Santiago and Alameda streets, ended last week in the Plaza Maestro Nebreda a second mural carried out within this program, which completes the half a dozen made by various members of the Agrupación Ribereña de las Artes relating small businesses with the world of comics. Ángel Pérez, Nistal (Mª Ángeles González), Araceli Antón, Mª Ángeles Moreno, Juana Pérez, Eloy Domínguez, Mar Arranz, María Velasco, Merche Tardajos, Mª Carmen Núñez, Roberto Poza and Antonio Ovejero, were the 12 artists who carried out this collective work.

Now, the plan that the merchants association has for this summer is being completed with the execution of a total of five more small murals in the Prince of Asturias park. There are four young artists, three boys and a girl, who were chosen by the organization to carry out this work, which is part of the contest called for painters between 14 and 25 years old, which will serve to dignify this children’s play area and to try and deter fans from dirtying the walls with graffiti without any artistic intent.

“The fact of seeing a space that is all ‘borrajateado’ with a very unpleasant aspect and that next to it there is a curious and decent painting with a lot of quality, it will encourage people not to continue doing these meaningless paintings, but to do beautiful things ”, comments the president of the association, Juan Carlos Quintana.

Within this contest, there are some prizes that will be awarded by popular vote and are endowed with 200, 100 and 50 euros for the three jobs that the neighbors themselves like the most.
