Colombo: Sri Lanka opener Upul Tharanga is retiring from international cricket. The 36-year-old Tharanga last played for Sri Lanka during the 2019 tour of Sri Lanka to South Africa. Upul Tharanga has announced his retirement from cricket, saying there will be an end to all good things.
Upul Tharanga played 235 ODIs and scored 6951 runs at an average of 33.74. This will include 15 centuries and 37 half-centuries. He played 31 matches in Test cricket and scored 1754 runs. Upul Tharanga has played 26 Twenty20 matches for Sri Lanka and scored 407 runs.
