Upset 6 agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) United States (US) investigated. The investigation was carried out on suspicion of using prostitution services abroad.
Reported CNN, Wednesday (15/12/2021), the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the US Department of Justice released a report on its investigation on Tuesday (14/12) local time. Investigations were also carried out regarding alleged involvement in drug trafficking and failing to report unauthorized interactions of foreign nationals while on duty abroad.
In the report, 4 FBI agents were accused of soliciting, obtaining and receiving sex services from a number of commercial sex workers (CSWs) while they were on duty abroad. They were also caught lying about it.
Meanwhile, one agent FBI others allegedly ‘requested commercial sex services abroad’. Meanwhile, the sixth FBI agent knew about the violation but did not report it.
Called Policy Violation
The report also stated that the actions of 6 agents FBI it violates Department of Justice policy. Their actions are also called violating the FBI itself.
2 Resigned
Of the 5 agents accused of misconduct, 2 of them resigned. Two others retired, and one was fired while the Inspector General investigated these abuses.
