UPS will strengthen its fleet of CNG trucks

UPS has just entered into a new agreement with Hexagon Agility to expand its fleet of natural gas-powered trucks.

This major order, worth $19 million, is for the delivery of bioCNG fuel systems to power the American delivery giant’s medium and heavy trucks. It is in addition to the 25.6 million dollars in orders made by the latter from April 2022.

“Between 2010 and 2020, our company has enabled the deployment of more than 70,000 near-zero-emission vehicles around the world,” said Eric Bippus, senior vice president of international sales at Hexagon Agility. “So we can only encourage and applaud UPS’s commitment to addressing environmental pollution issues by harnessing the benefits of RNG in North America.”

Delivery of this new order will begin in the first quarter of 2023…
