“We were cheated,” complain visitors to the Taizhou Zoo in China, noting that the officials did not hesitate to paint dogs black and white to look like… pandas.
According to the Global Times, visitors paid a not inconsiderable fee to get a close look at what appeared to be painted Chow Chow dogs.

What do the employees answer?
A zoo worker denied the allegations of cheating, explaining that “This is a new exhibition, for which we do not charge extra. The wording that includes chow chow dogs is correct and describes exactly what they are, so we are not misleading our visitors.”
The statements of a representative of the zoo moved along the same wave, who said that “people also dye their hair”.
“Natural dye can also be used on dogs if they have long fur. They don’t always exist in the zoo, so we wanted to do that.”
