Regarding the news circulating in the community, the President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati gave her statement.

It turns out that currently there is no policy to remove Pertalite type of fuel oil (BBM). He denied the abolition of the BBM Ron 90.

“There is no policy today to abolish Pertalite, it doesn’t exist,” Nicke said at the Vice President’s Palace, Tuesday (12/28/2021), quoted from the video caption.

Nicke Widyawati explained, what was done by Pertamina at this time is educating the public, to use fuel with a higher octane level or research octane number (RON).

As is known, Pertalite is fuel with RON 90 while Premium is BBM with RON 88.

According to Nicke Widyawati, this is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number 20 of 2017 which recommends that the minimum fuel sold in the market is RON 91.
