“Uprising” – Cēsu Small Theater performance

The Cēsis Small Theater invites you to Villiers de Yjs-Adān’s play “Uprising”.
Felix and Elizabeth are a married couple who also work together in the private bank “Mans Nams”. One midnight, everything in their lives changes. The show is about the mutual relationship between a man and a woman, which has reached the stage where one of the characters involved can no longer continue like this. The show will talk about equal coexistence, about the impact of emotional violence on relationships, about how much a person loses his humanity when he comes under the influence of power and money.
Villiers de Lys-Adans wrote the play in the 19th century. the end. The creators of the show have moved the action to the 21st century. So – for today. There is still not only emotional but also physical violence in society. It is still talked about reluctantly. It is still perceived as the norm.
