“Apparently I have good genes,” says Elisabeth Dorfner. Exactly 100 years ago, her mother Amalie survived an infection with the “Spanish flu”, in contrast to her little son, who died of it.
On April 29 of this year, one day after her 99th birthday, Elisabeth Dorfner was able to return from rehab to her home in Bayerisch Gmain (Berchtesgadener Land district). The sprightly old lady had been infected with the corona virus almost five weeks earlier.
