To GET St. Valentin in the Upper Austrian Football League on Saturday against the lowest team SPG Wels 1b, this may be the game of the last chance: the Lower Austrians are currently in second place – and according to the current position of the table, the fight after the Relegation season should be against the second best place in the state leagues to stay in the top league in the state. If more than one team from Upper Austria is eliminated from the regional league, St Valentin would have to be relegated as the last team.
Whichever league the club will be in next season: Michael Windischhofer, most recently with regional league side Naarn, will be in charge of the sideline from the summer onwards. While the interim coach Gerald Engleder is about to achieve the miracle of staying in the league in the remaining six rounds, Windischhofer is supposed to start a very new beginning: the Saint Valentin team is to to undergo regenerative treatment.
