After the hospital, you take into account that there is some continuation of treatment, in our case it is a maintenance chemical drug for another year and a half, once a week we give blood tests, from the test results we understand what dose of medicine should be given this week. We check the liver and kidney parameters once a month. Because the medicine is in the background, it also has side effects. Of course, they are not what they were in a hospital with a large amount of medicine. There is a change of mood and anger, especially on weekends, because on Fridays we give the strongest medicine, ”says Māra in the video, saying that everyone knows that it will be and is used to it.

She emphasizes that she is still living with paranoia about her son’s well-being.

“Paranoia will be in every detail for a long time. He says his legs hurt and I started to worry, he was more tired – I started to worry, he was squatting – I started to worry. Of course, the consequences of chemotherapy can also be very different. But it really seems to me that I have no reason to worry. Ezra feels good, looks very lively, ”reveals the singer.

Māra Upmane-Holstein and singer Jānis Holšteins-Upmanis or Goran Gora have been happily married for more than ten years and are raising three children.
