Inspired by TikTok, the three co-founders of the startup Uplodio, Konstantinos Lambropoulos, Alexis Vassiliou and Konstantinos Ketselidis, with the help of the appropriate AI algorithm, “direct” the companies’ advertising campaigns to the appropriate influencers, depending on the case, in order to maximize the impact of the social media campaign.
“The Uplodio platform helps Digital Marketing Agencies and Brands find and manage UGC content creators and influencers. Our AI algorithm makes recommendations for the most suitable influencers based on the specific elements of the advertising campaign such as Brand image, product description and video script”, the co-founders of the startup note to the “Economic Post”.
“TikTok gave birth to Uplodio”
“Uplodio as an idea came from observing the dynamics of TikTok. Specifically, one of the three Co-Founders working in the field of Marketing noticed the great rise of TikTok as an advertising medium but also the difficulty of companies entering the platform as advertisers. The main reason behind this is that the process of finding a content creator / influencer by marketing agencies is time-consuming and chaotic. In this way, Uplodio helps Digital Marketing Agencies to find the right TikTok content creators quickly and with the required accuracy, but also to manage the entire communication process with them”, they point out.
“Creating a startup was a dream of all three co-founders with all the risks and responsibilities it entails. We noticed that there is a problem in the field of marketing and after seeing how we can provide a better solution, we quickly made the decision to start this journey. One of the most important competitive advantages of our solution is the AI-powered algorithm which, after performing a deep analysis on the influencers, recommends the most suitable one based on the specific details of the campaign (product, scenario, etc.)”, they note.
It spreads its tentacles beyond Greek borders
“The company’s first steps are in Greece to make appropriate adjustments to the product based on user feedback/experience. In the coming months, expansion will follow in other European countries”, say the three co-founders of the company.
“With no experience in the startup ecosystem in previous years due to our young age, our contact at the current stage is quite satisfactory. Being participants in the Compass Cycle acceleration program of the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, we consider that we have been helped a lot in various places. Through ACEin we have received useful advice from mentors and we have networked in the Greek startup ecosystem”, they add.
“Creating a startup is a risk worth it”
“Creating a startup is a big risk, especially at a young age when experience in the workplace is minimal. Nevertheless, I believe that the reduced friction with specific market processes brings fresh perspectives and ideas for change or optimization. Still the main reason we have made our business is that the startup is quite simply interesting. The worries, the responsibilities, the quick changes and decisions but also the possibility to create something and see it evolve at a fast pace keeps you excited for the next day, the new feature, the new customer, the new market”, they emphasize.
“I think there is no secret to success in startups, it is known to everyone what needs to be done but difficult to achieve and sustain. It all starts with the team, their chemistry and their genuine enthusiasm to create something great. Then follows something quite simple and at the same time difficult”, he says. “Make something people want”, they conclude.
