Jakarta –
Apple will launch iOS 17, bringing many new features to iPhone. However, there are types of iPhone type aliases that will not support this latest operating system and experts encourage users to upgrade.
Those two smartphones are iPhone 8 and iPhone X. Security experts suggest replacing or trading in the iPhone.
It is known that the iPhone X is a cellphone released by Apple in 2017, the 10th anniversary of the iPhone. iPhone X is also the first Apple cellphone to ditch Touch ID and replace it with Facial ID, marking a new era for the iPhone.
Touted, the iPhone X is the iPhone’s biggest leap. The iPhone X also includes the first 5.8-inch Apple OLED screen.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 8 is also an iPhone with a large number of enthusiasts. Apple reported sales of 86.3 million iPhone 8 and 8 Plus worldwide, making it one of the best-selling smartphones ever. However, the production of the two cellphones was stopped in February 2020.
Now, experts advise Apple users to use the latest type of iPhone. There’s a reason, a report by SellCell states that the value of smartphones tends to drop by up to 50% and opens various security risks to their owners.
“Neither iPhone X nor iPhone 8 will receive the iOS 17 update, which means the phones will also not get security updates,” the report states.
‘Owners and their data are more at risk of attack by people with malicious intent, like hackers, for example. These models will become obsolete after the new iOS version is released to the public.” Daily Mail UK.
