Suara.com – WhatsApp is testing new privacy features for Android users. This feature allows users to hide their profile photos from certain contacts.
This new feature was first discovered by WABetaInfo. In its report, WhatsApp Android beta version 2.21.21.2 provides new privacy options for photo profile.
In the uploaded screenshot, the new options shown are ‘My contacts except..’ or ‘My contacts except..’ previously just ‘Everyone’, ‘My contacts’ and ‘Nobody’.
The new option allows users to select specific contacts so they can’t see the user’s profile photo NDTV, Thursday (7/10/2021).

This ‘My contacts except’ option will likely launch alongside other new privacy settings like ‘Last Seen’ and ‘About’, not just for profile photos.
It is not yet known whether this feature is also available for the iOS version of WhatsApp. Because, the new privacy settings previously also appeared for the Last Seen option.
This new option is also not yet available to beta testers. There is no information whether WhatsApp will roll out this new feature gradually or immediately alongside Last Seen and About.
