Jakarta – Kemendikbudristek released the latest rules regarding the distribution of odd semester report cards and school holidays close to the Nataru period. This rule was released in Circular (SE) No. 32 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Ahead of Learning Nataru 2021.
This latest Kemendikbudristek circular was signed by the Secretary General of the Kemendikbudristek Suharti dated September 14, 2021. One of the points in the circular letter No. 32 of 2021 reads as follows,
“Early childhood education units, basic education, and secondary education continue to carry out learning, distribution of semester 1 (one) report cards, and school holidays for the 2021-2022 school year in accordance with the education calendar for the 2021-2022 school year that has been set as referred to in number 1 .”
Point 1 SE No. 32 of 2021 contains that the education calendar in question is a calendar containing provisions for the start of the school year, effective study time arrangements, and holiday time arrangements previously made by local governments.
This means, the student’s school holiday schedule is back on the original schedule as set out in the academic calendar in the area.

The contents of the SE of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Culture No. 32 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Learning ahead of Nataru 2021 in full are:
- The Regional Government in accordance with its authority annually stipulates an educational calendar containing the start of the school year, setting effective study times, and arranging vacation times
- Early childhood education, basic education, and secondary education units continue to carry out learning, distribution of semester 1 (one) report cards, and school holidays for the 2021-2022 school year in accordance with the 2021-2022 educational calendar that has been determined as referred to in number 1
- Education units are not allowed to add vacation time during the Christmas Year 2O1 and New Year 2022 periods outside of the semester holidays in the education calendar set by the regional government as referred to in number 2
- Educators and education personnel in early childhood education, basic education and secondary education continue to carry out official duties in the education unit in accordance with the education calendar
- Maximizing the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination for educators, education staff, and students
- We urge parents/guardians of students to allow and encourage their children who have met the terms and conditions to be vaccinated against COVID-19
- Implement stricter health protocols (prokes) in education units with a 5M approach (wearing masks, washing hands with soap/ hand
sanitizer, maintain distance, reduce mobility, and avoid crowds) and 3T (testing, tracing, treatment).
SE Circular of Kemendikbudristek No. 32 of 2021 which is effective as of December 14, 2021. Thus, SE Kemendikbudristek No. 29 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Learning Ahead of the 202 1 Christmas Holiday and the New Year of 2022 in the context of the Prevention and Control of Coronaurus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is revoked and declared invalid.
