New building: Bellaria cinema
It will be a while before films start flickering across the screen of the Bellaria cinema again. The opening, which was actually planned for the end of 2022, has been delayed. The background: delivery difficulties in the renovation due to the pandemic and the Ukraine war. It remains to be seen when the traditional cinema behind the Volkstheater will actually open.
Döbling: Cobenzl estate
There are animal offspring again at the Cobenzl estate. Calves, lambs and baby rabbits were born this spring. Piglets and kids are already on the way. Events are also planned: on May 6, curious onlookers can experience the annual sheep shearing up close.
Ottakring: Fesch’markt
From June 2nd to 4th the Fesch’markt is coming back to the Ottakringer brewery. For three days, local producers are brought in front of the curtain, offering delicacies and handcrafts – from fashion and jewelry to furniture. As a foretaste, there will be a clothing exchange from April 15th to 16th at the art filling station in Ottakring.
