Updates in the 2023 School Map in Eure-et-Loir: New Class Openings and Closures

This is the end of a process that began in early 2023. Evelyne Mège, academic director of the national education services in Eure-et-Loir, announces, this Thursday, August 31, new adjustments in the 2023 school map.

The departmental scheme was approved at the end of a final working group, to which the trade unions were invited, in Chartres. Evelyne Mège explains:

“Four new class openings have been decided. The establishments concerned are the François-Villon school, in Chartres, the Ferdinand-Buisson school, in Dreux, the Saint-Exupéry school, in Luisant, and the school of A glass.”

25 openings and 59 closings of classes in Eure-et-Loir

In the end, the school map provides for 25 openings and 59 closings of classes in the department. “We were waiting for the summer to be over to confirm the changes in staffing in several schools”, explains Evelyne Mège.

No new class closures have been decided. “For four years, there has been no closure at the start of the school year. It is difficult for teachers who have been affected to learn in September that their post is closed”, underlines the academic director of Eure-et- Dormouse.

78,852 students are expected, from Monday, September 4, in public and private schools under contract with the department.
