For example, cereals now need to meet specific whole-grain content and limits on saturated⁤ fat,‍ sodium, and added sugars to ‌qualify. Many ⁤budget-friendly ​options, such as certain peanut butters and canned ⁣fruits and vegetables, also meet the new criteria. Manufacturers have three years to comply but‌ can adopt the new standards sooner.
