Apples App TestFlight (App-Store-Link), which allows developers to deliver beta versions of their apps to end users, has received a major update that brings a fresh design and new features to the application. The update was announced at WWDC in June, and the update is now available for download in the <a href="https://www.world-today-news.com/apple-has-postponed-an-update-for-ios-14-which-will-oblige-developers-to-ask-permission-to-track-activities/" title="Apple has postponed an update for iOS 14, which will oblige developers to ask permission to track activities.”>App Store.
The update brings TestFlight a new face that is very similar to that of the App Store. In the future you will also receive a description of the respective app as well as screenshots of the application. Previously, developers could only leave their comments on the new functions to be tested in TestFlight.
In addition to the design changes, the TestFlight update also brings new functions. These include “Tester Critieria,” which developers can use to filter the target group of their beta app. For example, a beta app can be distributed specifically to selected devices and iOS versions in order to check the behavior of the app under the respective system requirements. Several criteria can be set that apply to both private TestFlight invitations and public TestFlight links.
In addition, users can now tell a developer why they decided not to participate in a beta test.
Update available to download now
TestFlight 3.6.0 is now available for download in the App Store. The app can be downloaded and used free of charge. However, you need an invitation link to an app to be tested in order to use TestFlight properly. System requirements for iPhones and iPads are iOS or iPadOS 14. The Mac must run at least macOS 12. TestFlight can also be used on the VisionPro and the AppleTV.
If you are not currently using TestFlight, you just have to be a little patient. Hopefully we will integrate a function into our app later this year to allow you to switch between articles more quickly. And then of course there is a small beta test again.
