The Montreal Canadiens offered some medical updates on Twitter after Thursday’s loss to the New York Rangers, and it looks like Brendan Gallagher’s season could be in jeopardy.
The valiant Habs forward will be out for another three to four weeks. If he does return to the game in a month, there will only be two games left in the Habs campaign.
Gallagher is still hampered by a lower body injury. He was spotted several times with an orthopedic boot on his foot.
This season, the 30-year-old Albertan has been limited to 25 games. He has been affected by several health issues over the past few years.
As for him, Kirby Dach will be absent “for an indefinite period”. The exact nature of his lower-body injury is unknown, but he has not played since February 14.
Finally, Arber Xhekaj’s shoulder surgery on March 1st went smoothly. He should be able to participate in the next training camp.
