Update on the evolution of business support aid

the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Recovery recently presented the evolution of the various aids intended to support businesses:

. End of the solidarity fund

The solidarity fund is maintained in September, under the same conditions as for the month of August, that is to say a compensation of 20% of the loss of turnover, as soon as the company justifies a loss of at least 10% of its turnover.

In order to encourage activity, companies must provide proof of a minimum level of turnover of 15% to benefit from the solidarity fund in September.
The solidarity fund system for companies will end on September 30 and will be replaced by the system to cover fixed costs.

. The extended fixed cost support system

This system will now apply to all companies in sectors including activity remains penalized by health restrictions (sectors S1 and S1bis). These companies will no longer need to achieve a million euros in turnover to benefit from it.
This aid covers:

  • 70% of operating losses for companies with more than 50 employees,
  • 90% of operating losses for companies with less than 50 employees, up to a limit of 1.8 million euros for the year 2021.

. Aid for the payment of social contributions abolished

Aid for the payment of social contributions was abolished on August 31, 2021. These represented aid of 15% of the payroll for the months of June to August.

. The partial activity mechanism

Regarding the partial activity, the common law regime of the partial activity (40% charge for the company) will be applied to all sectors from September 1, 2021.
The companies in sectors S1 and S1bis who still experience health restrictions such as gauges or who experience a loss of turnover greater than 80% will continue to benefit from a remains at zero charge.
The long-term partial activity system, with a 15% remaining charge for the company, also remains available to support companies experiencing a lasting reduction in their activity. PG
