Update List of 23 Stations Serving GeNose C19 Inspection Page all

KOMPAS.com – PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) added 9 stations to expand test services GeNose C19 for those train users on Thursday (18/3/2021).

GeNose C19 is a tool made by Gadjah Mada University (UGM) to detect the corona virus through exhalation.

VP Public Relations of KAI Joni Martinus said that the addition of stations for GeNose C19 services will take effect from Saturday (20/3/2021).

“Starting March 20, 2021, KAI will add 9 stations that provide GeNose C19 inspection services,” said Joni when contacted. Kompas.com, Thursday (18/3/2021).

He explained that 9 stations currently serving GeNose tests include:

1. Bekasi Station,
2. Kiaracondong Station,
3. Cirebon Prujakan Station,
4. Tegal Station,
5. Kutoarjo Station,
6. Lempuyangan Station,
7. Semarang Poncol Station,
8. Jombang Station, and
9. Sidoarjo Station.

With the addition of 9 stations, the stations that serve the GeNose C19 inspection become 23 stations.

Previously, there were 14 stations that had served the GeNose C19 inspection, namely:

1. Market Station Monday
2. Gambir Station
3. Bandung Station
4. Cirebon Station
5. Semarang Tawang Station
6. Purwokerto Station
7. Yogyakarta Station
8. Solo Balapan Station
9. Madiun Station
10. Suarabaya Pasarturi Station
11. Surabaya Gubeng Station
12. Malang Station
13. Jember Station
14. Ketapang Station

Needs a GeNose test

In addition, Joni revealed that the results of the GeNose C19 inspection at 23 stations can be used for departures at all stations that serve long-distance train trips.

“The provision of the GeNose C19 examination is KAI’s commitment to government policy regarding the requirements for long-distance train rides in accordance with the SE Task Force Covid-19 No. 7 of 2021 and SE of the Ministry of Transportation No. 20 of 2021,” he said.

Conditions for obtaining GeNose

Prospective passengers who want to travel using Long-distance trains can do the GeNose test by observing the following conditions:

1. Prospective passengers must have a ticket or kode booking Long-distance trains that have paid off.

2. Do not smoke, eat, drink (except white water) for 30 minutes before performing the test.

Not only using the negative results of the GeNose test, those who wish to use Long-distance trains must show a negative certificate for the Rapid Test Antigen or RT-PCR whose samples are taken within a maximum period of 3×24 hours before departure.

However, departures on religious holidays and long holidays are required to show a negative Covid-19 screening certificate, the samples of which are taken within a maximum period of 1×24 hours before departure.

Tarif GeNose C19

Just like other Covid-19 tests, the GeNose C19 test costs IDR 30,000 for one action starting March 20, 2021.

As for this fee, it is no longer a pre-launching which is worth IDR 20,000.

Joni said that the tariff adjustment was needed to improve GeNose C19 services at several stations.

As a service improvement, later the GeNose C19 inspection at the station will be integrated with the KAI ticket system.

So that the results of the customer GeNose C19 inspection will automatically appear on the officer’s boarding screen.

However, this feature is currently in the finalization stage.
