It’s been over a month since the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition on consoles and PC, and so far developer CD Projekt Red has been silent on post-release support. The “new generation” port brought with it a whole bunch of problems. It has a lot of bugs, and the most common problem was a strong drop in frames and in general the game suffers from optimization problems
The new patch, with notes for which can be found under the spoiler, contains a number of fixes specific to PC and consoles, as well as fixes for quests, gameplay and localization. Among the most interesting changes and additions introduced in the first patch for The Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition are the introduction of a new performance mode for ray-traced global illumination on PC, which improves frame rates by prioritizing performance over range and accuracy, improved reflections in screen space and optimization of ray-traced global illumination in ray-traced mode on consoles. According to the developers in this patch, there are many other minor fixes that are not included in the list of changes:

PC Changes
Fixed an issue where screen space reflections on PC were not working even though they were enabled. Players who previously had this setting set to a high value may notice a change in performance.
Added a new performance mode for ray-traced global illumination, available to players with compatible hardware. It improves frame rates by prioritizing performance over range and accuracy.
Quest and Gameplay Changes
Fixed a bug in the quest “Preparing for Battle” that made it impossible to talk to Avallac’h when the objective “Inform Avallac’h that everything is ready” was active.
Fixed a bug in the “Family Matters” mission that caused the game to crash when going to the “Ciri’s Story. Out of the shadows” during a conversation with the Bloody Baron.
Fixed an issue in the King’s Gambit quest that made it impossible to fight the second Wildkaarl due to an invisible obstacle.
Fixed a bug in the Wine Wars: Belgaard quest that was not fully resolved in patch 4.00, due to which the quest could not be completed if one of the monster nests was destroyed earlier.
In the mission “A Dangerous Game”, the appearance of the armor in Caesar’s room should now change if the alternative appearance of the Nilfgaardian armor is enabled.
The puppet enchanted by Axii has increased health and damage.
The Adrenaline Rush mutation now works as described.
Minor fixes have been made to tasks and videos.
Localization fixes
Fixed various bugs in Arabic localization.
Simplified Chinese and Korean versions of Oriana’s “Lullaby of Grief” have been added.
Fixed Priscilla’s facial animation to match the Simplified Chinese voice when singing “Wolf Blizzard”.
The Witcher 3 is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch worldwide.
