Update 1.4 reworks weapons, enemies and more

Update 1.4 for Star Wars Outlaws reworks numerous combat aspects such as cover, weapons, enemy animations and more.

Will be released on November 21st Wild Card the first story DLC for Star Wars Outlaws. At the same time, the open-world adventure is about to receive its biggest update to date with Update 1.4.

The aim is to improve gameplay freedom, which also includes some aspects that come into play during the game’s action-packed firefights, as Creative Director Drewrechner in a new one Dev Update-Post explained.

To do this, the development team examined every aspect of the various weapons in order to adapt and optimize the audio, UI, effects, feel and values.

Headshots should feel more rewarding, and stronger enemies will be given weak spots to reward precision. Additionally, some enemy types will receive new hit reactions and death animations.

Weapons dropped by enemies can be used for longer and can also be picked up using ladders and while exploring. Tools such as the power module or the ion module have expanded application options and are also useful during battles.

The cover system has also been improved and now allows players to manually switch shoulders when aiming. Overall, the animations should be smoother and feel better.
