A new building for the University Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (KJP) is to be built in the area of the main car park on the premises of the University Psychiatric Services (UPD) in Bern.
Financing as a challenge
According to the UPD, a new building for child and adolescent psychiatry is urgently needed. More space is needed to supply and relieve the specialist staff. The construction costs are estimated at around 120 to 140 million Swiss francs. The aim is to move into the new building by the end of 2028.
According to the announcement, one of the major challenges for the coming realization of the project is the financing of the new buildings. In this context, the UPD point to tariffs that cover costs, which should also finance a refinancing of the necessary investments.
