Our meteorologist Stephanie Vies, from Los Guardianes del Tiempo, indicated that “heavy downpours” are expected in the east of the Big Apple. She noted the same for the Bronx and reported that in Manhattan she “has cleared up.”
“It will be the same pattern in the next few hours, but in the following days we will have stable times,” the expert mentioned.
By 2:00 p.m., the chance of rain remained at 36% and will decrease to 19% by 6:00 p.m. Already at night, at approximately 8:00 pm, the probability of precipitation will be reduced to 10%.
“This round of rain will only accumulate about half an inch,” said Stephanie Vies. However, for Long Island and Connecticut it could reach two inches.
The rains will return this weekend
To conclude her report, the meteorologist stated that in the coming days (Tuesday to Friday) there will be completely clear weather, but precipitation will return on the weekend.
“For Saturday and Sunday there will be an increase in the probability of 58%, so we will have to take out our umbrellas,” he said.
