The first pictures of the new product were published by the Australian publication Drive, and now details about the version of the car specifically for Australia have become known. But, presumably, the Subaru WRX TR will be similar in other markets. The presentation of this modification will take place next Saturday, October 7 in the USA at a special event for subarovods – Subiefest in Florida.
Apparently, no increase in power is expected (the “regular” WRX has a 2.4 turbo developing 275 hp), but the car will receive some features that the STI previously had. In particular, a huge rear wing, bucket seats, Brembo brakes (the calipers are red this time). There are 340mm brake discs at the front and 326mm at the rear (24mm and 36mm larger than the standard WRX). And if the latter is equipped with 18-inch wheels, then the WRX TR has 19-inch ones.
Production of the Subaru WRX TR should start before the end of the year.
