A series that ran from 2010 to 2013, and where the three seasons premiered over 3 weeks on Britbox. British medical drama that the whole family can watch. Good craftsmanship that many who love British drama series will like very much.
10. august: Painkiller (Netflix)
Matthew Broderick stars in this new series. If you saw “Dopesick”, this is about something of the same.
11. August: Blessed (HBO Max)
This is a film that has been very well received by critics and the few who have seen it. A biographical film about a nun who has a lesbian relationship with another nun in the 17th century. Directed by Robocop – Paul Verhoeven. The film has been banned in several countries. The film is known for its intense nude scenes, and that is also why it has been so criticized in religious countries. In its review of the film, the New York Times wrote that it uses “lesbianism as a middle finger against the Catholic Church”, and highly recommended it.
11. august: Red, White & Royal Blue (Prime Video)
This film is a classic teenage romantic comedy, but with a slight twist from the 90s versions.

August 12: Billions Season 7 (HBO Max)
Yes, there will be more even this will be the last season. 12 episodes, one episode released weekly.

The tenth season of the reality series.
16. august: Depp vs. Heard (Netflix)
Documentary series about the trial between the celebrities.
August 16: The Moment of Fear (Viaplay)
A Norwegian documentary series about shocking events in Norway, and how they were experienced by those who were present. The Halloween murder in Bislett, the mudslide in Gjerdrum and the tram murder in Oslo are among the incidents.
17. august: Till (Prime Video)
A film about the true story of Emmett Till’s mother who was certainly not silent after her son was brutally hanged. A strong film from 2022 that received good reviews and was well received by most people.
18. august: Mask Girl (Netflix)
Japanese series that really looks different.
18. august: Shelter (Prime Video)
Harlan Coben has in recent years been on Netflix with his series, but is now coming to Prime Video. The excitement is probably guaranteed, and this one follows his detective Mickey Bolitar.
18 August: What happened to Solveig? (NRK)
Kevin Vågenes is here with a new series. He plays 17 different roles in the crime comedy.
August 20: The Originals season 1 -5 (Viaplay)
The Vampire Diaries spin-off series will be on Viaplay in August. The series ran in the US from 2013 to 2018.
22 August: Strandhotellet season 2 (Viaplay)
The success returns with a new season. The soap series from Camilla Läckberg gained many fans, and season 2 will probably be in the same street as the first.
23. august: Star Wars: Ahsoka (Disney+)
The new TV series in the Star Wars universe will be on Disney+ at the end of August.
23. august: Before We Die sesong 2 (Britbox)
Great success on Channel 4 in England, and the second season will probably be a surefire hit. British crime at its best, and if you haven’t seen the first season, you have something to look forward to.
August 23: Invasion Season 2 (Apple TV+)
A new season of the series which certainly did not live up to expectations. The series takes far too long, and paint drying is more action-packed than the first episodes. The season will be quite decent eventually, and could be good in season two.
August 24: Ragnarok Season 3 (Netflix)
The last season.
25. august: Winter’s Bone (HBO Max)
Jennifer Lawrence stars in this masterpiece of a film. A drama from 2010 that you absolutely should have seen.
August 25: Cinderella 4K (Disney+)
A newly restored version of “Cinderella” is coming to Disney+. Same movie, but with a better picture.
26. august: Murder at Yellowstone City (Viaplay)
This western film was butchered by the critics when it came out, but most people have liked it better than the critics. A kind of detective story that takes place with cowboy hats and six-wheelers.
26 August: Side om Side season 10 (NRK)
Last season of the success series.
27. august: Platoon (Viaplay)
The classic war film will be on Viaplay at the end of August. The 1986 film is considered one of the best Vietnam films ever made.
31 August: Petter – where nobody wants to live (NRK)
A new documentary series about the places nobody wants to live.
31. august: One Piece (Netflix)
The big venture about a young pirate will premiere at the very end of August.
