Ortenberg (red). It is with great pleasure that the Kulturfreunde Galerie am Alten Markt are presenting their current autumn programme: the association was able to secure five selected events for this autumn, thus enabling a wide variety of very special cultural experiences in the Ortenberg and Gedern venues.
Let’s start with the topic of dialect: On Saturday, September 30th, the well-known linguist Dr. Lars Vorberger as a guest in the gallery at the Alter Markt in Ortenberg. He gives an entertaining and entertaining insight into the wonderful peculiarities of the Hessian language – but this event is already sold out.
On Saturday, November 4th, we continue with the well-known actor Edgar M. Böhlke. He performs with his program »Curtain up: what a theatre!« in the Gederner Kulturremise. The well-known theatre, film and television actor reads and talks about his acting life, shows excerpts from star roles and will also report on bizarre situations and film breaks. Viewers will experience inspiring recitations and entertaining anecdotes from a great actor tonight.
An evening with Kurt Tucholsky
Two weeks later, on Saturday, November 18th, the impressive reciter and musician Oliver Steller will appear with his program on the well-known writer Kurt Tucholsky in the gallery at Alter Markt in Ortenberg. Between stories from the life of Tucholsky, his character and his poems come alive through Steller’s speech and singing – an unforgettable evening that will not only please literature lovers.
On Saturday, November 25th, culture lovers welcome the »Dirk Raufeisen Big Band« to the community center in Ortenberg. The formation around band leader Dirk Raufeisen is made up of 18 amateur and professional musicians who share a common passion: the big band sound in all its facets. Unforgettable hits from the »Rat Pack« era to modern jazz arrangements will be heard and will delight the audience.
On Saturday, December 9th, Anselm Wild will be a guest at the Kulturremise in Gedern with his legendary Udo Lindenberg homage »Don’t panic in Advent«. “Don’t panic” is the musical message that Wild brings across together with Nadine Wopp and Markus Giegerich – on the way through the story of Udo’s crass heroes in the Christmas landscape, even including the Christmas Gospel.
Musical treat
And for the coming year, culture lovers already have a very special surprise: On Saturday, May 18, 2024, the great singer-songwriter Konstantin Wecker will be a guest in Nieder-Florstadt together with Jo Barnikel. With his new program “Songs of my Life”, the Munich musician, composer and author, together with his pianist and long-time companion Barnikel, presents his personal poetic music highlights – from the beginnings to the present day.
Tickets are already available for all events. Interested parties can already purchase these by sending an email to [email protected] (Dörthe Herrler/Kulturfreunde).
