The Delegation of Culture, led by Deputy Mayor Pilar Pintor, has scheduled several activities for next week that will begin tomorrow, Monday at seven in the afternoon at the ‘José Luis Cano’ Documentary Center with the presentation of the book by Inmaculada García Haro “The profiles of the cold” within the framework of the literary meetings ‘Open Book Culture’.
On Tuesday, also at seven in the afternoon and in the documentary center, the events planned by the City Council for Library Day will be held, and which include the opening of the new Manga Space, the reading of the jury’s decision of the III Contest of Literature ‘Manuel Fernández Mota’ and the discovery of the plaque that gives the name of the remembered Javier Muñoz to the existing exhibition hall in this cultural complex.
On Wednesday, the exhibition of the works selected from the II Art Contest of the Estrecho Natural Park, under the title ‘A park with art’, will be inaugurated at six in the afternoon at the Municipal Museum.
On Thursday the Reading Club will meet again at six-thirty in the afternoon at the documentary center around the book by Jean Claude Carriere and Milos Forman ‘The Ghosts of Goya’, while at seven-thirty and in the Municipal Museum will open a new installment of the intercultural film series “Cineforum” organized by the Márgenes y Vínculos Foundation.
For Friday, the conference-concert ‘Musical Instruments of the Wise King’ will be held at the Municipal Museum at seven in the afternoon, within the framework of the European Heritage Days, and at eight it will be inaugurated in the hall. ‘Javier Muñoz’ from the documentary center the exhibition of the Nómade photography collective entitled ‘5th element’.
Finally, on Saturday at eight thirty in the afternoon the Florida Theater will host the performance of the comedy ‘Open easy’ starring the Malaga actor Salva Reina.
These activities are complemented by the permanent exhibitions ‘Zodíaco’ by Guillermo Pérez-Villalta, and in the Municipal Museum of Algeciras ‘Si te diran alas’ and ‘Damn fence’ by Blanca Orozco.
