MEXICO CITY (apro).- From the most anticipated concerts to alternative and independent ones, in 2024 there will be a diversity of styles and tastes in various forums in this city.
The concerts take flight with the presence of the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Olga Tañón at the National Auditorium this January 12, in a gala of merengue and Latin pop, the artist announced to Proceso in a previous interview that it is a special return after not set foot in Mexico in 11 years.

In that same venue, on the 13th, the Venezuelan singer Óscar D’Leon will arrive, celebrating his 50 years of career.
The Fangoria duo led by the singer Alaska and the keyboardist Nacho Canut, will have two dates this January 18 and 19, at the Teatro Metropólitan.
For the first time in Mexico with the Symphony Orchestra, the Swedish metal band Therion will play at the CDMX Arena on January 20. That same day, the Spanish singer Nacho Vegas will do the same at the Pepsi Center of the WTC giving a review of his recent discography “Mundos immóviles derrumbaiendo” (2022). Guitarist Slash will be seen at that forum on January 23.

The Mexican singer Yuridia will conquer the National Auditorium on February 1 and 2. British singer-songwriter Morrissey promises to perform on February 3 at the Palacio de los Deportes. Meanwhile, the extravagant Russian duo IC3PEAK will play on February 4 at the Lunario of the National Auditorium in icy and dark rhythms.
Canadian rocker Bryan Adams returns to Mexico performing at the CDMX Arena on February 8 with his show “An Evening With Bryan Adams.” On Shared Date, the Argentine singer Daniela Spalla will do the same on February 8 at the National Auditorium. Meanwhile, the Colombian Karol G will have three dates at the Azteca Stadium, on February 8, 9 and 10. In turn, the New York star LP will sing on February 10 at the Palacio de los Deportes.
The first edition of Coloso Fest will be held, with the presence of Ágora, Springe, Qbo, Thell Barrio and Jet Jaguar. The meeting will bring together Latin bands representing metal and rock. The event is on February 10 in the West Pavilion of the Sports Palace.
The M Jazz Festival will bring together jazz figures at Parque Bicentenario on February 10. On stage you will see the Mexican Antonio Sánchez presenting his new project, Bad Hombre. The national band T’orus, acclaimed for its innovation and fusion of musical genres, will also perform. Karina Colis enlists, being the first Mexican drummer to graduate with honors from Berklee College of Music. From New Orleans comes the six-time Grammy Award-nominated American artist, Chief Adjuah (formerly Christian Scott). The Polish Kinga Glyk will arrive. In turn, the meeting will be attended by the native of Los Angeles, California, Louis Cole, whose work travels through genres and styles ranging from soul, jazz, funk and pop to extreme metal.
The show “La Caravana del Rock & Roll” will take place on February 16 at the National Auditorium. It will bring together the most important stars of the time: Enrique Guzmán, Angélica María and César Costa, accompanied by Roberto Jordán and the groups Los Teen Tops, Los Hermanos Carrión, Los Rebeldes del Rock and Los Locos Del Ritmo.
The singer Vivir Quintana will occupy the Lunario of the National Auditorium on February 16. For his part, the American singer and violinist Andrew Bird will fill the BB Auditorium with virtuosity, giving a tour of his most recent album “Outside Problems”.
The Caminante Fest will take place on February 17 in San Martín de las Pirámides, State of Mexico. He will play Brujería, Charles Ans, Chingadazo de Kung Fu, Commissioner Pantera, DLD, El Gran Silencio, Enjambre and Odisseo.
Irish artist Hozier will have two acts at the WTC’s Pepsi Center on February 20 and 21. For their part, Yuri and Cristian Castro will join in a special show at the National Auditorium, with two dates on February 21 and 22. Caloncho will be at that same venue on February 23. In turn, Moenia on February 24 at the National Auditorium.
The Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) festival will take place on February 23, 24 and 25 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez celebrating its tenth anniversary with Paul van Dyk, David Guetta, Dillon Francis, W&W, Armin van Buuren, Skrillex and Steve Aoki.
The legendary Spanish heavy metal band Ángeles del Infierno returns to Mexico on February 27.
March
On March 1, the emblematic Russian postpunk band Motorama will play a special show at the Teatro Metropólitan. The group La Santa Cecilia will be on March 2 at the BB Auditorium. That same day 2, “El Potrillo” Alejandro Fernández will make Plaza la México vibrate.
Meanwhile, acclaimed German musician Roosevelt will be there for his fans on March 7 at the Pepsi Center at the WTC. The British punk rock band Buzzcocks will land on March 9 at the Foro Puebla.
The musical meeting Pitchfork Music Festival, originally from Chicago, Illinois, will have a new edition in our country. To be held from March 6 to 9, it will be presented on multiple stages: Foro Indie Rocks!, Frontón Bucareli, Fünk and Yu Yu. The projects will be seen: Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Sky Ferreira, King Krule, Protomartyr, Kelela, Mengers and Mabe Fratti, among others.
The Mexican urban genre singer Dani Flow will be on March 14 at the Pepsi Center at the WTC. The Italian singer Laura Pausini returns to Mexico on March 16 at the Arena CDMX.
The Vive Latino will take place March 16 and 17 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. The first day will parade: Bad Religion, Bratty, Cartel de Santa, El Columpio Asesino, Fito Páez, Greta Van Fleet, La bande-son imaginaire, Marissa Mur, Panteón Rococó, Prayers and Scorpions. The second installment: Babasónico, Hombres G, Junior H, La Castañeda, Las Ultrasónicas, Los Lobos, Maná, Paramoere, Renee, Sabino, San Pascualito Rey, Silvana Estrada and The Warning.
The Moderatto group will say goodbye to the stage on March 23 at the Palacio de los Deportes. The AX Ceremonia festival will be held on March 23 and 24 at Parque Bicentenario with the presence of Kendrick Lamar, LCD Soundsystem and Fuerza Regida.

The British band Keane is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the iconic album “Hopes and Fears”. For Mexico, he is preparing a presentation on April 1 at the Palacio de los Deportes. Meanwhile, Blink-182 will please its faithful on April 2, 3, 5 and 6 at the Palacio de los Deportes.
The Elefante group will give a show on April 5 at the National Auditorium. That same day Sexy Zebras at the Indie Rocks Forum. The rock group Caifanes will be on April 19 and 20, also at the Auditorium.
The legendary band Megadeth will perform at the CDMX Arena on April 25 under the direction of Dave Mustaine. The “Queen of Pop” Madonna is preparing a series of shows at the Palacio de los Deportes as part of her “The Celebration Tour”, on April 20, 21, 23, 24 and 26. The Vaivén 2024 festival will take place on April 27 in the Jardines de México space, located in Tehuixtla, Morelos. There will be: Justice, Black Coffee and L’impératrice.

The American pop group Jonas Brothers returns with a presentation at the CDMX Arena on May 3. On May 4, the Turkish postpunk band She Past Away and the Mexicans Stranger And Lovers will play at the West Pavilion of the Palacio de los Deportes. For his part, Sebastian Bach, the Canadian singer known for having been the vocalist of the American heavy metal group Skid Row, will visit the Lunario of the National Auditorium on May 5.
The American artist Charlyn Marie “Chan” Marshall, better known as Cat Power, will return to our country on May 17 at the Teatro Metropólitan. The Finnish singer Tarja Turunen will captivate on May 19 at the Flying Circus.
The Afterlife electronic music festival will be held on May 25 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.

British singer Louis Tomlinson will perform as part of his “Faith In The Future” tour on June 1 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. The legendary drummer of The Beatles, Ringo Starr, will give a rock lecture on June 5 and 6 at the National Auditorium. The Spanish singer Enrique Bunbury will do the same on June 8 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. The South Korean female group IVE, one of the representatives of the K-Pop style, will set foot on June 23 at the Sports Palace.

The ska group Inspector will be on July 6 at the CDMX Arena, to offer a show that will showcase their entire extensive repertoire.

The legendary bassist Peter Hook will move emotions on August 29 in the West Pavilion of the Sports Palace. Mexican singer Kim Loaiza on August 30 at the Palacio de los Deportes.

As part of the “M72 World Tour”, Metallica returns to Mexico, preparing a series of presentations on September 20, 22 and 27, at Foro Sol.
