ANTARIKSA — The last 10 days of the month of Ramadan are the moments awaited by Muslims worldwide. Because, a mysterious night, a night comparable to 1000 ordinary nights, the night of Lailatul Qadar will occur in those 10 days.
Therefore, Muslims in any part of the world, there are always those who are awake, in mosques and surau, doing Itikaf in worshiping Allah SWT. No one can be sure, lailatul qadar will occur on which night. However, it is interesting to know what happened in the sky on those fateful nights.
Besides the appearance of the Waterfall Galaxy in the distant sky since Friday night, today another celestial phenomenon occurred. Midnight Saturday to early Sunday, April 16 2023, two celestial bodies will be seen linked to each other. Our moon will appear to meet the planet Saturn in the night sky, an event known as an appulse.

Of course, the moon and Saturn wouldn’t be physically very close to each other, since Saturn is between 1.2-1.7 billion km from Earth. The range of distances depends on where the planets are in their orbits around the sun. But from our vantage point on Earth, they would appear very close together in the night sky.
According to In-the-Sky.org, the exact time of this appulse will occur at 02.12 in the morning. The moon and Saturn will be below the horizon by then. At the same time, they will also reach conjunction, that is, when they share the same ascension, the celestial equivalent of longitude.
During appulse and conjunction, the moon will be in the waning crescent phase. It will appear as a small C-shaped piece, which can make for a very interesting photographic object. Source: Space.com
