Upcoming Blood Drives in MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges – Make an Appointment Now!

At the beginning of May, three blood drives will be held in the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges. They will take place in Sainte-Marthe, L’Île-Perrot and Saint-Zotique and interested donors can already make an appointment there.

People interested in making a donation are invited to make an appointment now. Héma-Québec invites blood donors to remain mobilized for those who need their generosity to recover their health.

Here are the collections to come on the regional territory:

1) Monday May 1st: Sainte-Marthe social and sports center from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Goal of 50 donations;

2) Thursday, May 4: Paul-Émile-Lépine Community Center in Île-Perrot from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Goal of 60 donations;

3) Friday, May 5: Saint-Zotique barracks from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Goal of 150 donations.

A crying need

The summer holidays, combined with the fact that the number of new blood donors has dropped significantly during the pandemic, are all reasons that prompt Héma-Québec to remind people of the importance of donating blood.

To make an appointment before coming to the collection, simply create or consult your profile at jedonne.hema-quebec.qc.ca and reserve a time slot there, or contact 1 800 343-7264 (BLOOD).

People who come across a collection site or a donor center and who have time to make a donation are also invited to come to the site and check whether the teams in place are able to welcome them.

Who can donate blood?

Anyone in good health, aged 18 or over, can usually donate blood. Before going to a blood drive, you can check your eligibility with Donor Customer Service at 1 800 847-2525 or consult the Héma-Québec website at www.hema-quebec.qc.ca , section Donors > Blood > Can I donate?
