Prosecuted for a total of 47 thefts and attempted thefts but also criminal conspiracy, the fourteen Romanian nationals tried since Tuesday in Nancy were found guilty. They receive sentences ranging from one to five years firm. The most significant sanctions were pronounced against Virgil Florea and Vasile Dragusan, considered to be the heads of this very structured network which has scoured Meurthe-et-Moselle, Moselle, Vosges and Alsace.
Only one of the defendants saw the magistrates revise the requisitions downwards. Seven others received heavier sentences. The four people present during the hearing were kept in detention. The court ordered an arrest warrant for the other ten. Inadmissibility has also been pronounced, for a period of 10 years.
