25.9 percent market share among under-50-year-olds – private broadcaster celebrates “a new all-time record”
The Super Bowl triumph of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers around superstar and record man Tom Brady brought the stations PULS 4 and PULS 24 (live broadcast with original US commentary) a historic high: Up to 377,000 viewers followed the final of the National Football League ( NFL) on the night of Monday, as the Austrian private broadcaster announced on Tuesday.
“With a market share of 25.9 percent among the under-50s, the Super Bowl, including the preliminary report on PULS 4 and PULS 24, set a new all-time record – the game itself had a total market share of 38.3 percent (E12-49),” said it in the broadcast. The previous record from 2017 was 21.4 percent market share. The NFL final was again particularly popular with young men (12-49) with a market share of 42.0 percent. Over the season, 1.9 million viewers followed the NFL in Austria on PULS 4 and PULS 24.
