MURCIA. Until 35,000 freelancers and companies regional will be able to benefit from the aid of the covid line destined to alleviate the ravages of the pandemic that is endowed with 142.5 million euros and will include 36 new sectors of activity. The Community will launch the call in the next few days within the extraordinary measures provided by the State to help business solvency and which has an amount of 7,000 million nationwide.
The details of this line were presented this Monday by the Minister of Business, Employment, Universities and Spokesperson, Valle Miguélez; the Minister of Finance, Javier Celdrán, and the president of the Croem regional employer, Jose Maria Albarracin.
As noted Valle Miguélez, “the roadmap set by the regional government for the management of these funds is clear and we have been working on its management for some time so that each euro goes where it has to go “.
For him Jose Maria Albarracin, President of Croem, “These grants have been a permanent demand from companies throughout Spain. From minute one, Croem and the regional government sat down to work to go hand in hand. If the company reactivates and returns to normal, we will also be able to recover employment because it depends on the productive fabric, “he stressed.
Thus, in total they will be 95 beneficiary sectors of activity of these aids established by the State. Among the new sectors are: manufacture of bread and fresh bakery and pastry products; extraction of ornamental stone and for construction; manufacture of footwear; fruit and vegetable processing and preservation; winemaking; manufacture of leather goods, travel and saddlery and saddlery; Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles; retail sale of sporting goods in specialized stores; Hairdressing and other beauty treatments; retail trade of furniture; or auxiliary activities to education, among others.
To define these sectors, the Ministry of Business, Employment, Universities and Spokesperson, has had the collaboration of the College of Economists of the Region of Murcia that, through its Competitiveness Chair, has produced a report in order to select those activities that may receive aid from the COVID line to entrepreneurs or professionals and entities.
In order to identify the possible beneficiary sectors of this aid, the degree of incidence of covid-19, as well as the weight that the activities have in the regional economy and the variation experienced in 2020 in the affiliates registered for employment and in the number of ERTE.
The funds, which will be managed by the Instituto de Fomento (INFO). These are aid to companies and freelancers consisting of direct grants, repayable advances, tax advantages, loan guarantees and bonuses of interest rates on loans to support the economy in the context of the current covid-19 outbreak, as well as measures to cover uncovered fixed costs.
Some 35,000 potential beneficiaries
The number of potential beneficiaries of these grants in the Murcia Region amounts to about 35,000 people linked to SMEs and sectors of activity such as science and innovation, strategic industries or tourism, sectors particularly affected by the pandemic.
The distribution of aid has been established in maximum of 3,000 euros for self-employed by modules and for the rest, as established in the call, the aid may not be less than 4,000 euros or more than 200,000 euros.
In this way, the forecast is that the call will be published in the BORM on June 5, after which the application period will open on June 7. Said period is 21 calendar days and the requests, being by order of competitive competition, will be valued in the same way from the beginning of the same until the end of the period.
