After a gray and rainy July, it may look like August is getting more sunny.

After a few days with cloudy skies and showers, the meteorologist’s forecasts show that it will be fine weather for the weekend.

– From Thursday, it looks like there will be an improvement in the weather. The sun will probably peek out, and temperatures can reach 20 degrees, says meteorologist at the Meteorological Institute, Martin Granerød.

In addition, high pressure is building up over Norway, which can increase temperatures further.

– If the high pressure hits, we can see temperatures up to 25 degrees this weekend, the meteorologist says.

Before Thursday, westerners must get through a few days of rain and clouds.

– There will probably be a number of showers all over Western Norway, especially in the outer areas, Granerød says.

The temperatures will be around 15 degrees before we see a rise on Thursday.

How long the fine weather will last is difficult to predict, but the meteorologist can promise a nice weekend.

– It will be at least a couple of days, and then we can hope that the high pressure will remain, Granerød says.
