Bonus TV, as long as it is valid and how it is scrapped

The bonus is valid until December 31, 2022, provided that the fund made available by the government does not run out before: 250 million euros have been allocated. The transition to the new digital has undergone a change, with a new schedule for the reorganization of frequencies starting from November 15, 2021 and with different dates for each Region. Two different methods can be used for scrapping. In the first case it can be scrapped at the place where you buy the new TV, delivering the old appliance and getting a discount of up to 20% of the cost. In this case, the retailer will have to dispose of the old TV and then redeem the tax credit by offsetting. The second modality foresees that the customer a dispose of the old appliance yourself by taking it to a landfill authorized. In this case, a form will be needed to certify the scrapping and it must also be specified that the owner is up to date with the payment of the Rai fee and that the scrapped television does not comply with the new standards.
