The doctor reported that tomorrow, Saturday, the distribution to the entire country of this batch and the 1,000,000 that was received last Tuesday through a donation from the United States will begin. “From tomorrow we started the distribution of all the doses of Pfizer. The idea is to reach 1,500,000 people with two doses in August, “said Castro.

Upcoming deliveries

In that sense, he affirmed that a batch of 100,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine is expected, the latest arrival of the batch of 400,000 that was donated by Qatar. In addition, he revealed that there could be a shipment of the Covax mechanism, but this time it would already be Pfizer vaccines and not AstraZeneca. It should be remembered that the Government itself had requested the change.

Also pending is the arrival of a shipment of Indian Covaxin vaccines and a donation from Spain of more than 200,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines. “The batch of AstraZeneca donated by Spain is a huge relief to continue the second doses,” said Dr. Castro.

Meeting with the Russian Fund
