JAKARTA – Many wonders in space. Starting from celestial bodies to beautiful natural phenomena. In fact, there are many things out there that are still unknown to mankind.
There are still many natural mysteries that have not been solved, even though humans have set foot in outer space for so long.
The following is a series of interesting space facts quoted from Mashable.com, Wednesday (16/8/2023).
1. A neutron star rotates 600 times per second
A neutron star is a type of star that has an extreme density. Compared to Earth, the density per cubic meter of a neutron star can be up to 20 billion times. According to EarthSky (2020), 1 tablespoon of a neutron star weighs the equivalent of the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest, which is 900 billion Kg.
Neutron stars are born from the explosion of supernova stars and then spin very fast. Neutron stars can rotate up to 60 times per second after birth. Under special circumstances, this rate can increase to more than 600 times per second.
2. Sun
