He goodbye to the Lamborghini Aventador It is still fresh, but the Italian brand is already well advanced in the development of what will be its successor. It was only known that it would have electrified mechanics, but the firm from Sant’Agata Bolognese has just revealed all its technical details.
Since it is the propulsion system that will give life to the new flagship of Lamborghini, the company has created a high-performance one.
It remains faithful to its essence, maintaining a block 6.5 V12 naturally aspirated as core, with a power of 825 CV and a maximum torque of 725 Nm, as well as a weight of 218 kilos. But complement it with three electric motors two on the front axle (one per wheel) and the last one on the rear, achieving all-wheel drive.
Each block without emissions contributes another 150 additional CV and weighs 18.5 kilos. The two front ones develop 350 Nm of torque each and the rear another 150 Nm. The result is a joint power of 1,015 hp, although its maximum total torque has not been revealed.
Technically it is a plug-in hybrid car, but the battery that it has, of only 3,8 kWh of capacity, predicts a very small electrical autonomy. It can be recharged by cable and with a 7 kW one it takes 30 minutes to recharge. While rolling, the V12 engine can complete the operation in just six minutes.
Consumption of the new Lamborghini
Lamborghini has not revealed its consumption or its polluting emissions, but it affirms that, despite being more powerful than the Aventador Ultimae, it emits a 30% less CO2 That this.
Another element that stands out is the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, which is newly developed. It’s even smaller than the seven-speed used in the Lamborghini Huracán, helping to make the new supercar’s cabin more spacious than the Aventador’s.
