Karl Pei’s Nothing company, a few days before the presentation of the Nothing Phone (2) smartphone, decided to show the design of the device on official footage. First this one was made by blogger Marques Brownlee, and then by the company itself.
Despite Karl Pei’s cries about fake renders that appeared in early June, the final design is no different from them. The back edges of the smartphone are now rounded. Also on the back side, the Glyph lighting elements have changed – now they are not solid, but segmented. There was also a double flash instead of one.
The functionality of the Glyph interface has also been expanded. Now it can be used as a volume level indicator and a countdown timer. In addition, there will be a setting of diodes for a specific application and custom templates.
Most likely, some new products will be available on Nothing Phone (1) with the release of Nothing OS 2.0 firmware in August.
The presentation of the second generation of Nothing Phone will take place on July 11th. The device will run on a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, and for the basic version, according to rumors, they will ask for a solid 729 euros.
