Ubisoft after earlier leaks now example officially unveiled the game Tom Clancy’s XDefiant, in their words “Free-2-play fast-paced arena shooter that combines intense gunplay with customizable loadouts, thanks to which teams of shooters – nicknamed Defianti (English “Resisting”) – can fight on the battlefield “.
In the official presentation of the game, the creators emphasized that it is a shooter in the first place, and therefore they paid great attention to the appearance, control and behavior of each firearm in the game. They also promised that they planned to support and improve the game in the long run (which sounded a bit like a reminder of the history of Rainbow Six: Siege, which took some time to get back on its feet because it initially suffered from lack of content and overpressure of microtransactions).
Among the gaming journalists, after the revelation of the game, there were reactions that XDefiant does not seem to bring much new yet – Paul Tassi evaluated it as „80% Call Of Duty, 20% Overwatch And 0% Splinter Cell“.

Personalized game style
Customize your Defiant to fit your style of play. Choose your team, characteristics, abilities and ultimate attack. Choose from an arsenal of primary and secondary weapons, their modifications, as well as additional equipment for your loadout – then you can tune it at runtime to adapt to the battlefield.
Competitive clashes
Different types of competitive 6v6 arena and linear modes, such as Domination or Escort. Combine that with a large selection of unique game maps in rotation, and no two matches will be the same.
Varied teams of Defiants
Wolves, outcasts, Cleaners and Echelon teams fighting across iconic locations is just the beginning. More Defianti will be added to the game, continuously selecting from a large supply of characters and abilities of the world of Tom Clancy and others.
For a chance to try the game in preliminary access you can register on the official pages. The first test will take place on August 5 and will be intended for PC players from America and Canada.
