The former TV2 presenter and program creator Øyvind Fjeldheim and Reidun Hetland (30) gave each other their yes in the city council hall in Haugesund town hall this weekend.

The newlyweds are brilliantly happy with the celebration, which will last three days until the end.

– We are not quite done yet. Now we are on our way to Brasserie Brakstad here in Haugesund, a cheerful Fjeldheim tells VG by phone on Saturday afternoon.

The bride and groom and the guests kicked off the celebration at home in the couple’s garden on Friday.

The wedding itself took place in the town hall in Haugesund Town Hall. Fjeldheim can tell that they were married by the municipal director, who is one of his closest friends.

The bride walked up the aisle to the song “See the fire bright” by Sissel Kyrkjebø, something Fjeldheim is left with as one of the fondest memories from the wedding.

– Unusually happy

Afterwards, the party continued to Scandic Hotel in Haugesund.

– It was fantastic to see my lovely Reidun come towards me in the hallway in the town hall. Unusually happy man, Fjeldheim elaborates on an SMS to VG on Saturday night.

– What is the difference inside being on the hunt and having found the woman in your life?

– He, he. Was not looking but very happy to have met the woman in my life. When I met Reidun, I was absolutely sure! Fjeldheim answers.

– I became confident because of her wonderful personality. Safe, cool and warm.

Had to postpone the wedding

The wedding was scheduled to take place exactly one year ago. But because of the pandemic so the couple will have to postpone the wedding plans.

Øystein Fjeldheim then stated Dagbladet that they were not going to postpone the wedding again.

– We expect that the vast majority have been vaccinated by 4 September, and then we will have to take into account what happens. There will be no postponement.

Øyvind Fjeldheim worked in TV 2 for 11 years, where he led a number of programs and, among other things, created the concepts “Friday”, “Summer time” and “Adventurous Norwegians”.
