[마이데일리 = 파주 곽경훈 기자] There was an unusual training scene during the national soccer team training held at the Paju National Team Training Center on the 10th.
It was the training of goalkeepers. This is an exercise in which the Köpke goalkeeper coach kicks the ball toward a table held by two goalkeepers, and the goalkeeper on the goal line catches the bounced ball.
The scene looked easy, but goalkeeper coach Köpke used appropriate intensity and angle to make the players nervous. He also told the players holding the table, “It’s important to look, but check the movement of the ball while holding the table.”
Training was conducted by performing about 20 exercises per player and then replacing them. Cho Hyun-woo, who was the first runner to train, approached the training with intense eyes.
Cho Hyun-woo, who had been selected for the national team since last March but had not even received a proper opportunity for four consecutive international matches, showed strong determination this time, and the rest of the juniors also showed unseen competition even in training.
Meanwhile, the Korean national soccer team will play against Tunisia at Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 13th and against Vietnam at Suwon World Cup Stadium on the 17th.
