Patrick and Isabelle Balkany wear an electronic ankle bracelet. It was installed for them this Wednesday, in their mill in Giverny, reports the Parisian.
The former elected officials of Levallois-Perret, aged 72 for him and 73 for her, are thus serving their three sentences in prison for tax evasion via this “home detention”. They had been sentenced on March 4, 2020.
A situation which, obviously, did not make Isabelle Balkany lose her sense of humor: “My TV program tonight …”, she wrote on Twitter, with a screenshot of a program “the Girl with the bracelet”, a film broadcast on Canal +.

The couple will have to stay at their home for hours. “For the Balkany, it is 8 am – 12 noon in the week, and the afternoon during the weekend”, explain our colleagues.
Nevertheless, Isabelle Balkany will have a good reason to request an exemption from this conditional liberty regime: the possibility of her becoming a columnist with Cyril Hanouna had been mentioned after her visit last month in “Touche pas à mon poste”.
Moreover, the legal troubles are not over for the Balkany. The couple were also sentenced to five and four years for laundering tax evasion. They appealed to the Supreme Court.
