A reader shares her experience on the portal lrytas.lt.
“Life is unpredictable and sometimes takes us to places we never thought we would go. Recently, I had to spend some time in the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.
The “excursion” to the place where the elected officials of the Lithuanian state work was truly memorable and left a positive impression, however, a detail raised questions in me that I want to share with everyone.
During the visit, I had to visit the Seimas toilet for a while, where I saw a strange sign – I have been to various companies and institutions both in Lithuania and abroad, but I have never seen one before.
In the toilet of the Seimas, there is a strange ban on the wall – it is stated that you should not step on the pot with your feet.
What is this sign for? For the members of the Seimas and their assistants? For backpackers like me? I would like to believe that people who work and visit such places do natural things culturally and without prohibitions and warnings. Or maybe not?”
