Unusual photos of plural landscapes to see in Grenoble

From the Vercors to Nicaragua via Norway, Normandy or Dunkirk where he lived for a long time before settling in Lyon, Nicolas Coutable31-year-old professional photographer, presents his first personal exhibition : Plural landscapes. It is to be discovered until February 25th to the Platform, the former museum of the painting of Grenoblelike Verdun.

This event is organized in collaboration with Gutenberg house and in particular its artistic director, Romain Weber, who is the curator of the exhibition. This falls within the framework of the year Grenoble green capital of Europe 2022.

Plural landscapes in Grenoble: an invitation to travel

The photographer began his career in 2010 specializing in industrial wastelands. In 2015 he undertook a series of artistic residencies in South America alongside the visual artist, Laurent Chiffoleau before settling in Lyon, notably with a residence at the old Fagor factories.

With Plural landscapes, Nicolas Coutable he invites us on a journey in black and white and in colour, through France and the world, to discover unusual, sometimes spectacular landscapes which have in common that they are marked by man in a way more or less visible to the naked eye.

“Observing and understanding the territories we aim for is a first step in tackling the current ecological crisis.observes the artist. It is therefore a question of showing humility by placing oneself on the same level as the rest of the living. For centuries, our relationship with nature has often been reduced to a one-sided balance of power.
