In the midst of the spread of Omicron, there are four symptoms of Covid-19 that you should watch out for.

1. Stomach pain
Researchers from the ZOE COVID Symptom Study have monitored Covid-19 symptoms since the start of the pandemic. Recently, researchers have found a sharp spike in reports of abdominal pain symptoms. These symptoms began to increase in mid-December 2021 until mid-January.
“Digestive problems, such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, feeling sick and losing your appetite, or skipping meals, can all be symptoms of COVID-19,” the research team said.
2. Sore throat and other symptoms
Many doctors say that patients infected with the Omicron variant often complain of symptoms itchy throat or sick. These symptoms are increasingly being found in infected patients breakthroughi.e. patients who have vaccination and contracted Covid-19.
Symptoms of Covid-19 can appear within two to 14 days of being exposed to SARS-CoV-2. In addition to pain or itching in the throat, there are several other symptoms that usually accompany it. Symptoms include fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle aches, headache, loss of sense of smell or taste, stuffy or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea.
“People with these symptoms may have Covid-19,” said the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
3. Tingling
The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) revealed that symptoms tingling or numbness of the skin is known as paresthesias. Paresthesia is one of the symptoms of prolonged Covid-19 which is known as long Covid. This widespread tingling sensation may appear and then subside repeatedly.
4. Organ damage
According to a study in the journal BMJ, one in three people over the age of 65 who catch COVID-19 will develop new symptoms about a year after infection. These new symptoms can include kidney problems, fatigue, respiratory failure, hypertension, and mental health problems.
5. Protect yourself
People who experience symptoms of Covid-19 should be tested for Covid-19. In addition, it is also important to always apply health protocols, especially if you live in an area with low vaccination coverage. Some health protocols that are highly recommended are wearing masks, not traveling, keeping a distance and avoiding crowds, and washing hands regularly.
